4th of July

This was our first 4th of July as a family, and for Sergio and I married.  I was in California our first 4th, and last year he was at an air show in Michigan.  Finally all in one place, we went to Oceanfront in Virginia Beach.

We had to park 11 blocks from the boardwalk, then walked 20 blocks of the board walk and walked back 11 blocks.  All while Hannah strolled along for some much needed rest.  She's been sick, now finally recovering, but I wanted to get her out of the house for some sunlight and fresh air.  We made a stop for a late lunch when we arrived, otherwise mostly enjoyed checking out the craze.  After all our walking we grabbed some dairy queen and set up camp to watch a Bruce Springsteen cover band and fireworks.

Hannah enjoying dessert first...
  then dinner.

Passing time taking photos...

The looks Hannah gives:  Look 1) "Ha, ha...uh yeahhh not so much."  Look 2) "Daddy are you for real, seriously."  I'm sure she'll be flashing it our way more than a few times when she's a teenager.  Just wait till she learns to roll her eyes too.

Having fun...

More fun...
Need a family photo, use your stroller as a tripod.

Fell asleep before the fireworks started

but that didn't last long.

And what's a 4th without fireworks...

After the show we had to walk 20 blocks back to the car.  A grand total of 62 blocks.  Good thing we enjoy walking.
